Chapter 48: The Husband’s Eyes are Offended
Chapter 48: The Husband’s Eyes are Offended
In the guild, Mana1 was helping to guard Tiffany, a woman known for her lewdness, when she suddenly saw that Terra, who had left earlier, had returned.
And they came to see her.
Mana 1 suddenly felt her body being controlled by an invisible force, while Terra was looking at the top of her head.
Soon, the power disappeared, and Terra left without saying a word.
"Hello!"
"What is Miss Elf doing?" Mana wondered.
But soon, Mana 1 suddenly felt a heavy weight in her hand. When she looked down, a staff suddenly appeared in her hand.
It looks exactly like that necromancer's.
I don't know how Terra gave it to her.
She glanced at Tiffany, who was lying on the ground, sobbing and whimpering, and decided to return the staff to her, so she simply placed it beside her.
Tiffany hissed like a kitten when she saw the staff, snatched it with one paw, and hugged it to her arms.
As Mana was about to leave, she suddenly felt something sticky in her palm. She raised her hand and found that the staff she had just returned to Tiffany was now back in her hand!
What happened?
She returned it to Tiffany several times, and each time it came back to her.
"Don't keep clinging to this filthy, disgusting thing!" Mana 1 snapped, slamming her staff at Tiffany's head. Tiffany reached out to grab it, but the staff vanished and returned to Mana 1's hand.
"My precious staff, and you just tossed it around like trash! Are you enjoying it?!"
"I didn't say that!"
"Look at your short, blond hair, isn't that what you mean?"
"Ha!" Mana laughed in exasperation. "Then I'll show you how to use your staff properly right in front of you!"
Mana simply strode up to Tiffany, squatted down, and began chanting a spell.
Tiffany the pupa approached Mana: "Don't use it!"
the other side.
Welcome!
Ragon 1 walked into the hall and went to Stella, who was tidying up the potion bottles: "Let me help you."
He didn't really want to get close to Mana for the time being.
Other adventurers entered the hall and came to help.
Stella: "What if you all abandon that necromancer and she gets away?"
"Um, I think she can't escape~" a female mage with a thick braid said awkwardly.
Stella walked out of the hall with suspicion, glanced around, and then returned.
"Ragon1, you and Nora1 go and rearrange the tables and chairs. The rest of you, help me clean up the debris and the gravel on the street."
Stella finished arranging the cleanup in the hall and went to the street to clean up the stalls of the affected townspeople. At this moment, she saw a tall, plump, dark-skinned elf with a broken ear walking towards her in the distance.
She wore a form-fitting beige dress with a deep V-neck that reached her lower abdomen, revealing a large expanse of dark skin on her chest.
Stella rushed up to her: "President, where have you been?"
"By attending the lord's banquet, our branch should receive more subsidies next year, and your allowance will also be higher."
Stella: "Okay! Oh wait! A lot happened here while you were away, President, and, Terra, he..."
The chairman surveyed his surroundings and nodded knowingly. Then, a satisfied expression suddenly appeared on his face.
With his arms crossed, he said, "This was just a surprise training exercise for you adventurers. It seems you all handled it well. As the guild leader, I am very satisfied. From now on, all adventurers present will receive an extra 30 contribution points."
"Forehead--"
Stella looked up at the dark-skinned president.
"Um, guild master, the reason this place is in such a mess is because a lot of monsters suddenly appeared, and we barely managed to fight back."
The guild leader nodded as if he knew everything and said, "I know, I had someone release those monsters."
"We've found the culprit who summoned all sorts of undead monsters." Stella looked at the president, who reeked of alcohol, with a speechless expression.
"I know, I specifically had someone capture them to test you."
"Ah, that necromancer said he was the leader of a terrorist organization called the Twilight Society."
……
……
"I know," the dark-skinned president nodded again.
Stella stood with her hands on her hips, glaring at the president, her tone tinged with helplessness: "President, please stop making up these kinds of lies! We've suffered quite a few losses, and some residents in the surrounding area have been affected too!"
"I know." The president patted Stella on the shoulder. "What I said is true, you just didn't know it."
The guild leader spoke these words very loudly, and the adventurers around him heard them clearly.
"President!"
The dark-skinned elf cupped her cheek in one hand, looking helplessly at the unhelpful waiter. She bent down and pressed herself against Stella, their chests bumping together.
"I was telling you how to submit the report to me later. Write down what I just said about today's events."
Stella: "But, isn't this a lie?"
President: "A few days ago, who sent me several tasks in a row, all of which were inexplicable requests like taking paintings down from the wall?"
Stella blushed.
"Well, that's not my fault, Terra coerced me..."
The president, with his arm around Stella, said, "I just got a promise from the lord's treasurer that we'll increase investment next year. If you write everything that happened today down in detail, do you know what will happen?"
Stella shook her head.
The guild leader rubbed his forehead and pinched Stella's cheek: "The lord has always been wary of armed guilds like the Adventurers' Guild that are not under his control, and he is not happy to see us grow stronger. If today's incident is explained as a test by me as the guild leader, and that I just didn't control the intensity a little, and that I will be more careful in the future and take the blame alone, then the matter can be resolved."
"One of the key tasks of our Adventurers' Guild is to be dynamically responsible for the security of part of the city. What if the lord wants to take back the money because our guild is not good at maintaining order?"
"What's more serious is that adventurers need three levels of certification—from the guild, the blacksmith's guild, and the lord—to craft and repair weapons. What if he gets stuck on that? Stella, you don't want to be penniless when you draw my hand later, do you?"
"In no mood……"
Stella doesn't want to draw cards from the president every day; it's too insane.
"But, later you drag that necromancer to my basement, I want to see what's going on." The guild leader pinched Stella's cheek.
"Mouse~ Guild Master, it hurts~ But, the necromancer's mental state might not be very good." Stella glanced at the pile of Tiffany's on the ground in the distance.
"Whatever, what did you say happened to Terra?"
"Terra made me cancel his adventurer status. He said he wanted to re-register so he could go to the Trial Grounds with Wendy to take the test."
"Is that so? This Terra is really interesting."
