Chapter 22 The Game Begins
Chapter 22 The Game Begins
"Su Huai, what do you want?" Liu Xu stared intently at the smiling man in front of him.
Inside the morgue, more than ten sorcerers collapsed to the ground in an instant, all exhausted.
Su Huai closed the morgue door. As soon as he returned, he heard Su Jue talking to him about creating gods. In fact, he had heard about it before, but he didn't expect that the morgue would actually be willing to use living people as materials.
After resting at home for a few days, Su Huai went to the morgue. Taking this opportunity, Su Jue and the others invited Pei Min out.
"I'm helping Shuangyu with something, but you don't seem very happy?" Su Huai slowly approached Liu Xu.
"What is it? Please finish it and leave quickly." A bead of sweat rolled down Liu Xu's forehead.
Of course he could never forget that Su Huai was like a demon that day, simply because someone in the morgue made a few jokes at him.

"Can I join the morgue? I want to be the boss." Su Huai looked at the person standing at the door with a smile.
The people in the morgue looked at the boy, who looked to be only ten years old, and after a moment of silence, they burst into laughter.
"You? Kid, how old are you? Don't be ridiculous!" One of the demon hunters walked over and patted Su Huai's head.
But his smile soon faded as a wound appeared on his hand without him even noticing.
The boy in front of them had somehow produced a sharp sword.
The sword was entirely blue, so vibrant and seemingly brand new. Yet, the moment people looked at it, they couldn't help but feel as if it had carried them through countless years.
"Oh dear, I didn't expect you to be so weak. Where's your boss? Come out." Su Huai raised the long sword, aiming it at the man who had just touched his head.
The moment the sword was pointed at him, the man noticed that all the demon hunters around him had fallen to the ground.
"Go and deliver the message. You'd better bring all the tough guys here, or none of you will live." Su Huai stuck his sword into the ground and sat down on a chair.
The man stopped resisting and immediately took out his phone to make a call.
While waiting for the call to connect, he looked at his teammates who had just been instantly killed, one of whom was a Class A player.
Later, Su Huai waited in that area for three days until almost all the high-ranking officials of the morgue arrived in Pingchuan City.
"1, 2..." Su Huai began to count slowly until the last number stopped at "66".
"Is there only one Class A1 in the morgue?" Su Huai tilted his head. "Alright, now tell me, where are Su Tinglan and Jiang Guanchao? If there aren't even any bodies, I find it hard to believe the morgue is legitimate."
Two familiar names struck the hearts of all the demon hunters present in the morgue like a heavy hammer blow.
"They died fighting against the incarnation of the gods; that's our explanation," Liu Xu said. "Is it strange that fighting against gods wouldn't leave behind any corpses?"
"Little Pei, what's your opinion?" Su Huai looked at Pei Min, who was standing at the front of the line.
He was met with silence.
"Alright, that's fine then. You probably won't tell me anymore. I'm going to pick up Shuangyu." The smile on Su Huai's lips disappeared, and his aura became terrifying. "But, since you're already here, don't leave yet."
At that time, no one in the morgue realized how powerful this person would be.
Su Huai slowly opened his eyes, and in an instant, the world seemed to fall for him, and time itself surrendered to this man, willingly dwelling in those eyes.
In December, heavy snow fell in Pingchuan City, but at that moment, the drifting snow stopped its journey toward death.
Cherish the present moment.
All 66 demon hunters were seriously injured without their knowledge, each with wounds of varying sizes on their bodies.
Only Pei Min, who regained his normal mobility in no time after being seriously injured, leaned on the Xihe Tears sword sheathed and looked at Su Huai: "I'm sorry, if I hadn't been so impulsive..."
"Useless." He waved his hand, and the sword disappeared.
The heavy snow eventually fell as usual, accumulating on the ground and melting.

"Are you scared? It's okay. I was young and impulsive back then, I wouldn't be so impulsive now." Su Huai patted Liu Xu on the shoulder. "I want you to stop creating a god. Can you do that?"
Liu Xu's eyes widened instantly, and he said in a slightly trembling voice, "This won't do! This is..."
"You want to tell me your theory of world peace? Then let me remind you, I'm not taking action because I'm more composed than before, but..." Su Huai hugged Liu Xu, "that doesn't mean I've become weaker."
Just as Liu Xu was about to speak, he noticed that Su Huai had released his hand.
"What's going on..." Su Huai frowned.
"Boss Liu... Boss Liu, something terrible has happened!" A demon hunter exclaimed in panic as he picked up his phone.
……
"What? A large number of dead have appeared in Pingchuan City and started to wreak havoc?" Xu Menghe grabbed Su Jue's shoulder in disbelief.
Su Jue was completely dumbfounded; it was true...
Su Jue recalled the scene of life and death that had been shown to him that day, where people appeared out of nowhere and covered almost half of Pingchuan City in a short time.
"There's something even worse..." Su Jue said.
"What could be worse? It's like a biohazard!" Xu Menghe said anxiously.
"I read online that the government has completely sealed off Pingchuan City, allowing only entry and no exit," Su Jue said. "Also, almost the entire country knows about sorcerers now."
"Are you... joking?" Xu Menghe leaned against the wall.
"Su Huai said he needs to go check out the situation; we'll have to handle things ourselves," Su Jue said in a deep voice.
He felt that things couldn't get any worse than they were now: ordinary people had discovered the sorcerers, a group that had been hidden for millennia, and this would undoubtedly have a huge impact on the world.
That's all in the future. Right now, the dead are rampaging through Pingchuan City, and the government has even placed the area under lockdown, clearly indicating they don't want the people here to survive.
Even if they say they'll send troops, how long will that take? And even if the troops do arrive, can they win?
I don't know how many sorcerers there are in Pingchuan City, but the number is definitely not large, and not every one of them is willing to help ordinary people.
"Should we go home and hide?" Xu Menghe asked Su Jue.
"Go back..." Su Jue subconsciously wanted to say home, but some scattered fragments of thoughts flashed through her mind.
Fang Qi, Pei Min, Su Huai...
He sighed, "Troublesome. To rescue people, I should at least be a little better than a normal person."
"Then I'll go with you," Xu Menghe said after thinking for a moment.
This wasn't actually part of the mission, but Xu Menghe still chose to follow Su Jue, even though she wouldn't be particularly safe if she hid by herself.
Moreover, she knew that Su Jue was no longer capable of fighting, and she considered him a friend after all.
The street is quiet; the former bustling activity has all disappeared.
However, they were probably not very lucky, as they encountered a life-or-death situation shortly after they started walking.
"Do you think you can defeat this deadly creature?" Xu Menghe asked softly.
"I think we should run." Su Jue slowly backed away.
Just a step away from the corner, they saw a pebble shoot high into the air and then land on the head of the wandering dead.
"Stay away from my mom!" Looking along the path where the stone came from, there was a child who looked to be about five years old.
"Tsk..." Su Jue then noticed that there was a woman nearby where the dead had been wandering, but she looked dead.
The man turned around, his gaze falling on the child, and then he walked towards him step by step.
The sharp claws fell with the child's screams, as if death were imminent!
