Chapter 304 Voldemort (1)
Chapter 304 Voldemort (1)
Cedric was awakened by a shockwave powerful enough to illuminate the dark sky, and he was unharmed, despite the spell directed at him.
Lamia stood up from the ground. The half of her arm was unrecognizable. The huge impact took her a long time to recover consciousness.
"Sir, whatever you intend to do, do not touch this boy," Lamia said calmly.
"Where did these brats come from? Wormtail, I told you to get rid of them!" A hoarse voice came from the arms of the man in the cloak.
Lamia took a few steps forward. Her burnt arm was recovering at an astonishing speed. Countless blood threads condensed and entangled with her skin.
"Then, unfortunately, gentlemen, I have no choice but to kill you." Lamia said with a smile, her tone as casual as if she was helping someone take out the trash.
"Chichichi," Wormtail took off his cloak, revealing his ugly face, "Master, is she talking to us?" His cloudy eyes stared at Lamia, and the wand in his hand was already raised.
"A little extra treat tonight!" Wormtail attacked without warning, a blinding green light emanating from the tip of his wand, heading straight for Lamia.
For a moment, neither of them could knock the other down, and instead they fell into a stalemate. Lamia did not use her full strength, she wanted to delay until Dumbledore and the others arrived.
"Wormtail, don't waste your time."
"Yes Master."
In an instant, Wormtail's magic power surged, and Lamia had to take this wizard whom she hated seriously.
At this moment, a tall figure walked out from the woods nearby. He was shrouded in darkness and attracted everyone's attention as soon as he appeared.
"It's very lively here," he said.
"Lamia, do you want my help? This situation seems a bit tricky for you." The man's voice was full of teasing. Although it was a question, he was moving step by step towards Lamia.
"Tom, the person in front of you is you." Lamia said. She never understood Tom's situation from beginning to end. It was too complicated. Rather than saying that he was an independent person, it would be better to say that he was actually a fragment of Voldemort's soul with self-awareness.
"Take me away, Wormtail!" In almost a second, Wormtail withdrew his magic power, fell to the ground, and avoided Lamia's attack.
After a while, it turned into a pool of black mist on the spot. Lamia took a deep breath. It was a good thing that Voldemort left temporarily. At least she didn't have to worry about the two Toms joining forces to deal with her.
"Lamia, I haven't appeared for so long, have you missed me?" Tom walked out of the darkness. It was strange that even in the light, Lamia didn't see any shadow.
"Tom, what are you doing here? You're not here just to scare me..."
"Shut up! Don't mention that shame!" Tom's tone suddenly became fierce. "He actually got himself into this state, Lamia, I'm not him!"
"Okay, Tom, this has nothing to do with me." Lamia said. What she cared more about now was the next notification from the system, which would be best if it could allow her to leave this world directly.
"It's okay? Lamia," Tom continued to approach. He was the same as before, except for his slightly longer hair.
"What about me? What do I care about?" said Tom.
"You?" Lamia chuckled.
The next second, a shrill scream made her turn around quickly, and she saw Wormtail appearing again and the ugly Voldemort in his arms.
"No, Master, we've put in so much effort, we can't just give up like this. I will definitely succeed!"
Wormtail had put down his bag, lit his wand, and was dragging Harry towards the marble tombstone. Harry looked badly injured, and blood was dripping from his right leg.
He used magic to conjure ropes and tied Harry tightly to the tombstone, tying him from neck to ankles one by one.
"Wormtail, let go of Harry," said Lamia. Her arm had fully recovered, and even if Tom hadn't come to help, she could still beat the dirty rat to a pulp.
But Wormtail paid no attention to Lamia. He had already finished tying the rope and was busy checking whether it was tight. His fingers trembled uncontrollably as he fumbled with the knots.
When he was sure that Harry was tied up tightly and couldn't move, Wormtail pulled something black from his cloak and stuffed it roughly into Harry's mouth.
Then, without another word, he hurried away, and Harry could make no sound, nor could he see where Wormtail had gone. He could not turn his head to look behind the tombstone, but only what was straight ahead.
"Lamia, you really don't want my help? I don't think you can handle it alone." Tom gloated.
Lamia looked back and saw that Cedric was gone. He might have gone out to find help and might never come back.
"Reward?" Lamia said, looking at Tom.
"What? I don't understand." Tom smiled maliciously, staring at Lamia with his narrow eyes.
"What do you want in return?" Lamia repeated again. She had a bad feeling that Voldemort might really be resurrected. If Tom didn't come to help, she would never be able to defeat two Voldemorts who were familiar with the dark magic.
But this time, Tom didn't answer her.
Lamia began to get a little irritated. She wanted to just leave Harry here since she was going to leave soon anyway.
Wormtail's wheezing began again, as if he were pushing something heavy, and then he pushed a stone cauldron down into the grave.
The cauldron was filled with water. It was larger than any cauldron Lamia had ever seen and could definitely accommodate an adult sitting in it.
The things in the bundle on the ground moved more vigorously, as if trying to break free. Wormtail was busy tapping the bottom of the crucible with his wand. Suddenly, crackling flames jumped up from under the crucible, and the big snake that had been circling Harry swam into the darkness.
The liquid in the crucible seemed to heat up very quickly. The surface not only began to boil but also threw out sparks as if it were on fire. The steam grew thicker and thicker, and Wormtail, who was tending the flame, became a blur.
The bag moved faster.
Lamia knew that time was running out, and Wormtail was arranging his master's resurrection ceremony very quickly, which was the last thing she wanted to see.
"Anything in return, Tom, I promise you," said Lamia.
"If it's my fiancée, then there's nothing in return, but if it's just Lamia, then you may not be able to give me what I want." Tom used such a serious tone for the first time.
Lamia felt a little regretful.
