Chapter 550 - 551: A Flurry of Punches Kills the Old Master [3rd Update, Please Subscribe]
Wu Tian’s statement stunned Ye Zhetian. Could he really do it? He was still just a child; how could he possibly be a match for Capenul?
"Believe in yourself."
It was Qin Yuhan, holding the little one, who had just arrived. When Wu Tian had suddenly left the house, the little one had suggested he might have gone to meet a secret lover. Although Qin Yuhan trusted Wu Tian, she couldn’t stop the wild thoughts that the little one’s words had planted in her mind. So, she had brought the boy and come to find them.
"Can I do it?" Ye Zhetian asked the little one, his expression serious. Perhaps there was an inexplicable understanding that could only exist between children.
"You can," the little one nodded. Ye Zhetian immediately turned to Wu Tian and declared with determination, "Lord Martial God, please grant me divine power!"
Viter hurried forward. It would be one thing if Capenul were defeated by Wu Tian, but to be defeated by a child would be an utter disgrace to the Hezong Country. He approached Wu Tian and said anxiously, "Martial God, we are here representing the Hezong Country to discuss a resolution to the conflict between you and the Iron Tower Country!
"The Iron Tower Country has already declared that if you do not apologize, it will wage war!
"As for an apology, a long, drawn-out speech is something I doubt you would agree to, Martial God. So, in consideration of your title as Martial God and your status in the Dragon Country, the Hezong Country only asks that you say three words on a live broadcast... ’I am sorry!’
"How about it?
"Furthermore, this man, Capenul, was in the wrong first. You cut off one of his hands, so we can consider the matter settled. What do you say?"
Viter appeared very polite, showing none of Capenul’s arrogance. But Wu Tian’s gaze swept across the scene, where the bodies of three elderly people and two children lay dead, killed by Capenul’s fists. Their bloodied corpses were still lying there. Could this matter really be settled so easily?
"Both of your proposals are laughable!
"First, he killed people on the soil of the Dragon Country. How could severing one of his hands be enough? Can his single hand compensate for the several lives of my Dragon Country’s people? Are the people of my country that worthless?
"Second, I will handle the grudge between myself and the Iron Tower Country on my own. It doesn’t require the Hezong Country’s concern. You want me to say I’m sorry? It’s not that I’ve never said those words in my life, but to the paltry Iron Tower Country? It is not worthy!"
What? Wu Tian’s words left Viter stunned. Even the screaming Capenul was momentarily speechless.
Viter had seemed like a mild-mannered old man, but upon hearing Wu Tian so blatantly disregard the Hezong Country, he could barely contain himself. He felt like his lungs were about to explode with rage.
"Wu Tian, I know you are the Martial God, imposing and mighty. You even destroyed the nation of Fusang!" Viter stared furiously at Wu Tian, his voice low and heavy. "But you should think carefully. With the revival of Spiritual Energy, the strength of the various nations has reached unimaginable levels! Many people have awakened special abilities, and countless legendary beings have appeared. You might not be the strongest in the world anymore.
"Besides, the Hezong Country acts as the Judge of the nations. Our strength is far beyond what you can possibly imagine!
"If I were you, or if you had any sense, you would say those three words to the Iron Tower Country: ’I am sorry!’ It’s just three words. Is that really so hard to say?"
In the Hezong Country, Viter’s missions were always executed with one hundred percent perfection. He would not allow himself to fail this time.
Hearing Viter’s words, Wu Tian laughed. "Hezong Country? Hezong Country? If it dares to oppose me, then I shall simply overthrow it!"
What? Wu Tian’s declaration left Viter dumbfounded, and the surrounding people of the Dragon Country were equally stunned. Such words were treasonous, an utter defiance of the established order.
But Wu Tian didn’t care. He glanced at Ye Zhetian and nodded. He was no Holy Mother. In fact, he was quite pleased with this child. An Ancient Physique was nothing to scoff at.
"You can even take on both of them at once," Wu Tian suddenly said, looking at Ye Zhetian. It was obvious that Wu Tian found both Viter and Capenul distasteful and was sending Ye Zhetian to deal with them. Yet, this statement left the onlookers gaping in disbelief. This child can defeat Capenul and Viter? How... how is that possible?!
Everyone still vividly remembered Capenul’s Fire Fist from earlier. Viter hadn’t yet made a move, but the fact that he was an envoy from the Hezong Country during this era of revived Spiritual Energy was a testament to his formidable power.
"Hahahaha... Wu Tian, you’re telling him to fight us? Are you sure you’re not joking?" Capenul had been afraid that Wu Tian would act personally, so he was overjoyed when Wu Tian sent a child instead. He burst into wild laughter.
Viter also chuckled and shook his head slightly, thinking Wu Tian’s decision was incredibly foolish.
Wu Tian ignored the two idiots. He walked over to Ye Zhetian, studied the boy’s features, and then began making calculations with his fingers. His expression turned solemn as he said, "In the future, you and your son will meet me again. You share a certain destiny with me—especially your son!"
What? To the six-year-old Ye Zhetian, Wu Tian’s words were completely incomprehensible.
Wu Tian retrieved a Ginsengfruit from his Nine Dragon Ring. "Here, eat this." A piece of fruit? What good could that do?
Although the Ginsengfruit looked peculiar, no one thought it was a genuine legendary treasure. After all, even local markets sold so-called "Ginsengfruit." Those were just regular fruits forced to grow in a mold when young, resulting in ginseng-shaped watermelons, apples, and pears.
Ye Zhetian hesitated, his eyes full of doubt. "Go on, eat it! I’ve eaten one, so what are you afraid of?" the little one in Qin Yuhan’s arms goaded him.
"Who says I’m afraid?" Ye Zhetian was, after all, only six or seven years old. He gritted his teeth, popped the Ginsengfruit into his mouth, took a few hard bites, and swallowed.
The taste? Nothing special. It wasn’t even as good as fruit juice!
But an instant later, he felt the fruit dissolve in his stomach, transforming into a searing current of heat that spread throughout his entire body. Ye Zhetian felt an immense power surging within him. He clenched his fists, feeling as if a single punch could kill a tiger. He was certain he could even strike down the legendary hero Wu Song with one blow!
"Go on," Wu Tian said. Ye Zhetian nodded and turned to face Capenul and Viter. "Which one of you wants to die first!"
What?! Capenul and Viter couldn’t believe their ears. A child barely old enough for kindergarten dared to speak to them like that? If this wasn’t courting death, what was? This was the very definition of it!
"You little brat! Allow me to teach you a lesson!" Though Capenul had lost his right hand, he still had his left. Flames instantly coiled around his left fist as he flashed toward Ye Zhetian.
He had no intention of merely sparring. He wanted Ye Zhetian dead! Even if the boy was only six, he would kill him without hesitation.
Ye Zhetian didn’t know how to fight, so he could only swing his fists wildly. He had no technique whatsoever.
Capenul was overjoyed, completely unaware of a saying in the Dragon Country that "brute force conquers all skill." He was also ignorant of another: "a chaotic flurry of fists can beat a grandmaster."
