Chapter 1263: She Cried for Him

Joseph probably didn’t anticipate that Laura Quinn would be so resolute.Unprepared, his body lost balance and toppled backward.

Because the two of them were already so close to the cliff, this fall almost sent both of them plummeting down together.

July Quinn and Richard Donovan almost cried out simultaneously.

Moreover, July Quinn dashed to the edge of the cliff like a leopard.

Yes, he wished for nothing more than Laura’s survival.

Immediately after speaking, he moved into action, easing Laura upward bit by bit.

Seeing Laura’s hand near, Kyle and July hastily and strategically pulled her up.

Laura also tried exerting herself to push against the cliff’s ledge, though, regrettably, one foot slipped.

As Laura teetered again, Joseph, already pulled up to the edge by Susan and Thomas, suddenly lunged out and pushed Laura back to safety.

Thus, Laura was safely rescued.

Yet, Joseph, who had bravely jumped out, found himself fully suspended, with no one able to catch him, watching helplessly as he quickly fell.

Laura had not expected Joseph’s final act of sacrifice to save her would lead to such a fate.

Panic-filled, Laura’s eyes brimmed with tears.

And as Joseph plummeted, he seemed to see her tear-filled, reddened eyes.

In that moment, he smiled.

Laura finally cried for him once.

He spent his life only wanting Laura to marry him.

He wasn’t sure if such obsession was love.

The only thing he knew was that seeing Laura about to fall off the cliff made him feel empty inside.

He couldn’t live in a world without Laura, never could.

Thus, he made a move that surprised and shocked even himself.

Maybe, this still was love.
